Greetings, Crunch Crew! We are well into the new year, and it's time we check in on our New Year’s Resolutions! Some of you may have stayed true to your goals for the year, while others may have forgotten about them by the second week of January. We here at John Wm. Macy’s know how hard sticking to your resolutions can be, so we put together a list of simple changes you can make in your daily life that will help you start crushing your goals on your journey to becoming your best self!
Waste No More!
Our first resolution has been to reduce waste! There are so many easy ways to start incorporating reducing waste into your routine. A great place to start is when planning your grocery list. Shop your own kitchen first! See what meals you can make out of items you already have before adding unnecessary extra items to your list. This will help you declutter your pantry and maybe even save on your next grocery bill!
Leftovers with a Purpose
The next resolution we have adopted this year is to eat all of our leftovers! How many times have you packaged up extra meal portions, just to have them sit in the back of the refrigerator until they were no longer appetizing? We’ve been there too, and we have learned that a great way to reduce kitchen waste is to repurpose those leftovers! We crafted our recipe for Pot Pie Soup specifically for using up leftovers that so often go to waste. It’s great for any leftover meats, such as roasted chicken, turkey, or ham, and you can add just about any vegetables you might have on hand to give this divine dish some extra flavor and nutrients!

Mindful Snacking Habits
This year we are being intentional about the things we eat! Did you know that five of our famous John Wm. Macy’s Cheesecrisps are equal to only two-three Weight Watchers points? They’re the perfect snack for crunching your way through your fitness goals! We like to pair them with sliced bell peppers and a side of plain greek yogurt mixed with everything bagel seasoning for dipping! This makes for a healthy, guilt-free snack that will help keep you energized and full between meals!
